Oh Hell is a great card game for groups. It's known around the world by many different names and played with many variations in sequence of game play, scoring, and whatever other family rules people like to play by.

That's a tough question as people play by many variations of the rules. The one thing that remains the same is that it's a game of 'tricks' and players bid for how many 'tricks' they think they win in that round. The reason for the name 'Oh Hell' is that the bids cannot be the same as the number of 'tricks' available in that round, so the last to bid (the dealer) often cannot bid what they want.

Most scoring methods place a premium of accuracy of the bid instead of quantity of the bid, such as 1 point for each trick won plus a 10 point bonus if you won the exact number of tricks that you bid.

There are plenty of rules sites where you can find the basic rules, and then just pick and tweak the ones that work best for your group.

The audio 'Bid Recap' is a handy feature to give a quick spoken review of the bids once they are locked. If it's not working for you, check the following:

- In the 'Setup Game' menu, ensure the slider for Audio Bid Recap set to ON

- Ensure your device is not in silent mode (this is the most common issue)

- Ensure the volume is not turned down too low
